Marian Jane Hensley Gomez Obituary

Marian Jane Hensley Gomez died in Seminole on the morning of April 26th, 2018. Jane was native of Kentucky, born in the town of Russell. She spent her formative years in Warner Robbins, Georgia, earning a full scholarship to Wesleyan College in Macon, GA for oboe. She transferred to Florida State University to pursue a degree in Business, Graduating with a Master’s of Business Administration. She was married to Jorge Antonio Gomez in 1962. In her career, she was an accomplished teacher, guiding and educating young minds in multiple areas of business including computer programming and software education. She was extremely talented and creative. She was an expert basket weaver, a musician who played multiple instruments including oboe, flute, bowed psaltery, hammered dulcimer and piano. She was also a painter and an accomplished quilter. She is survived by her children, Michael Gomez of Tallahassee and Shelby Jane Gomez of Clearwater and her loyal pug dog Ziggy.
