Maleena Y. Lee

It is with profound sadness that the family of Maleena Y. Lee announces her passing on March 22, 2023, at St. Joseph's Hospital, with her loved ones by her bedside.

She was 62 years old. Maleena will be remembered by her husband of 44 years, Saney; children, Yun (J. Cyril) Bratton, Salom Lee, Tabitha (Warren) Morris, and Philip Lee, as well as her grandchildren, Jovanni and Taya. Maleena is also survived by her mother, Yam Soam, and siblings, Pich Kann and Sokhom Em.

Maleena was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Born in Cambodia on June 2nd, she was the eldest of her siblings and grew with a strong sense of family values.

Maleena and her devoted husband built a beautiful life filled with love, faith, and a fierce devotion to God. Together, they provided for their children with a warm and loving home, instilling compassion, empathy, kindness, and forgiveness. Moreover, Maleena was a shining example of God's love, always putting the needs of her family and others before her own.

Maleena was a woman of many talents and interests. She loved to cook, fish, and garden; she was always happy to share her knowledge and skills with others. As a Christian, she enjoyed singing gospel songs and would share the word of God to everyone she encountered.

Maleena will be remembered for her kind heart, infectious smile, and her unwavering dedication to her family. While her passing has left a void in the lives of those she touched, her legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She will deeply be missed by all, but we take great comfort in knowing that she is now at peace with the Lord. We will continue to honor her, by living our lives with the same faith, love, and devotion she exemplified.

A viewing and funeral service will be held in her honor on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Sorensen Funeral Home, in St. Petersburg, Florida, at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, at 5233 118th Avenue North, Clearwater, Florida 33760.
