Dong Yang, 100, of St. Petersburg, passed away on August 3, 2019.  She is survived by a large family, including nine children, three generations of grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by three children, three brothers, and two sisters.  Dong was a strong woman who survived by strength and perseverance.  She escaped for Laos to Thailand and later immigrated to the United States.  Services will include a visitation from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 31, and service on Sunday, September 1 at 9:00, all at Sorensen Funeral Home.
