Tina was born October 30th, 1953 to Leon and Norma Miami in St. Petersburg, FL. She attended Notre Dame Academy and St Petersburg College where she received an AA degree in fashion merchandizing. Tina began working as a meter-maid as a teenager, a seamstress, and part-time teller at the bank where she met her husband of 34 years, Jim. Later in life she volunteered for the Pinellas Parent Educators Association where she coached golf and ran the yearbook staff for 15+ years even after her own children graduated.
Tina loved singing and was a member of Sisters in One Accord, where she sang with friends in churches around the county. Tina is known for her love of Jesus Christ, friends and family, her laugh and smile, the color yellow, and sunflowers. She loved children and was instrumental in the lives of her great nephew and grandson. Tina also loved to travel and was able to visit 42 states and numerous countries over her lifetime. Her favorite trips were to the Grand Canyon and Hawaii.
On January 3rd, 2022, Tina lost her four-and-a-half-month-long battle with Covid and was called home by the Lord. She was preceded in death by both parents, Leon and Norma Miami. Tina is survived by her loving Husband Jim Chism; Sons, Jeremy (Teresa) and Kevin (Catherine) Chism; Grandchildren, Christoph and Evelyn Chism; Brothers, Lino (Maria) and Kenneth Miani; and Sisters, Jeanine Miami and Cynthia (Alex) Miani.
