William Edward (Bill) Larkin Sr.

William Edward “Bill” Larkin Sr, 87, of St Petersburg, Florida passed away peacefully on Oct 16, 2023. He was born in Ansonia, CT on April 11, 1936 to Clement and Mary (Conlon) Larkin. Bill loved the warm weather and spent the past 52 years as a fulltime Florida resident.

Bill was a proud Veteran and served our country in the U.S. Army, Armored Tank Division, stationed in Germany.  He loved the outdoors and when not working as a Realtor or Landscaper, he spent his time running, sailing, and cycling. He was gifted with a great voice and loved to entertain by singing Irish songs and dancing. Bill was proud of his 100 percent Irish ancestry.

Bill is survived by his children: Karen Larkin, St Petersburg, FL; Lauren Larkin, Milford, CT; Patrick Larkin, San Diego, CA; and Sean Larkin (Michelle), Olympia, WA.

Bill has fourteen grandchildren: Joshua Larkin (Mandy); Jacob Potts; Jessica Potts; Keith Kruysman Jr (Hannah); Kourtney Kruysman (Joe Bloszko); Kelly Kruysman (Eric Ferguson); Connor Larkin; Carly Larkin; Riley Larkin; Liam Larkin; Fionn Larkin; Bono Larkin; Keegan Larkin; and Delaney Larkin.

Bill has seven great-grandchildren: Brian Larkin; Adalyn Larkin; Madeline Potts; Bailey Bloszko; Lukas Bloszko; and twins Isabelle and Ian Kruysman.

He is also survived by his siblings: Jack Larkin, Orange, CT and Judy Nicolari, Ansonia, CT.

In addition to his parents, Bill was pre-deceased by his eldest son, Bill Larkin Jr, St Petersburg, FL; and his siblings George Larkin, CT and Elise Zarrilli, MA.  

Burial will be private at Bay Pines National Veteran's Cemetery in St Petersburg, Florida. Bill will also be memorialized at Mount St Peter Cemetery in Derby, CT, at his family gravesite.
