On Thursday, September 17, 2020, Viengpasong Luangsouphom, beloved mother, sister, friend, and local entrepreneur passed away at 53 years young. Vieng was born in Savannakhet, Laos to Khampha and Banchai Keothavy. In 1980, her family was sponsored by the Mehmet family in Utah soon after she moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she attended Luis & Clark Jr High, Benson High School then the University of Nebraska to study law enforcement. After college, she moved her life to Florida where she married and raised two children, Phillip & Alisha and later on a granddaughter Soriya. She was the life of the party, always ready for a drink and had a laugh that you can hear from a mile away. She was all hugs and smiles and happiness, to every person that came into the doors of Bangkok Cuisine. She built an establishment that welcomed all families from local to out of state. “Vicki” as her guests would call her, had so much passion for cooking meals that would create memories for a lifetime & brought families together to celebrate life itself. She showed her love through food whether if she was the one cooking it or eating it. She was one of the most kind hearted and positive individuals that you would ever meet. She had an amazing voice when she sang either on stage with her brothers or with a karaoke machine at home, she was always ready to have fun. Vieng was preceded in death by both her parents and is survived by her extensive family in the U.S and Laos. There will be a visitation on Friday, September 25th 1:00pm-3:00pm followed by a cremation service at 3:00pm.
