Veune Vongkorad of Parrish, Florida, passed peacefully on May 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on November 12, 1936, in Vientiane, Laos. Veune is survived by her children: Phet Frichitthavong, Van Vongkorad (Phoung), Ketsarinh Xayarath (Keoudone), Thip Vongkorad, Oura Vongkorad, Sona Laurence (David), Sindy Reimer (Jerry), Pete Vongkorad (Estela), Bobby Vongkorad (Alma) and Ravy Vongkorad (Koun); her two sisters; 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Khamphet Vongkorad, and her brother. Veune’s love for her family, her strength, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A funeral and celebration of Veune’s life will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Sorensen Funeral Home, 3180 30th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida 33713. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance as they celebrate a life well lived.
