Troy A. Place

On Wednesday, September 30, 2020, Troy A. Place, loving husband and father of two children passed away at the age of 51. 

Troy was born on October 13, 1968 in Buffalo, NY to Audrey and Harold. Troy attended Erie Community College then moved to Florida.  Troy worked in the alarm industry for over 20 years. ACSI was Troy’s second family as they made him feel like he was a part of the family. On March 30, 2020, he married Tammy D. Waters after a long engagement. 

Troy had a deep passion for NASCAR, Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Gators. He loved working on his Jeep and spending time with his family. Troy was a dependable, smart and caring man. Troy was so loved by all his aunt, cousins and friends. 

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Harold. He is survived by his loving wife Tammy, his two children, Morgan and Tyler Place, his three stepchildren, Jessica (Jim) Bova, John Waters, Jennifer (Justin) Messer, mother Audrey and brother Tate (Kelly) Place. 

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 11, 2020 at Sorensen Funeral Home from 1-3pm. Flowers or donations may be sent to 3180 30th Avenue N., St. Petersburg, FL 33713.
