73, of St. Petersburg, went home to be with the Lord on August 23, 2023 at Northside Hospital. He will be missed by his loving family and friends.  Terry was born to parents Donald and Doris Bennett on June 9, 1950 in Berea, OH. Terry moved to Florida when he was a kid.  He ran into Joan a few times through his childhood but really got to know her in highschool and they were married shortly after her highschool graduation and have been happily married the last 54 years.  He went to work with his father as a heavy machinery operator for the Florida Department of Transportation when he dropped out of school after 11th grade.   He worked there for 30 years until he retired.   After retirement he spent his days watching his 3 grandsons. Terry is survived by his wife Joan Bennett; daughter Holly Baker; son-in-law Troy Baker; grandsons Erik Baker, Jase, Baker, and Bryce Baker, as well as his siblings Rhea Alphin, Greg Bennett (spouse Emily), Tonya Reyome (spouse Danny) and Tammy Romanger (spouse Pete), and best friend Alfred Eylward. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Doris Bennett, sister Opal Bennett, and son Travis Bennett. There will be a memorial service at the funeral home on Friday, September 1st at  2pm.
