Today we mourn the passing of Rick Post. He was 76 years old and passed away in St Petersburg, FL on November 23rd.

Rick was born and raised in Frederic Michigan, graduating from Frederic High School and Central Michigan University. He had a passion for the arts, particularly silent movies and anything nostalgic. Rick could recall any nostalgic detail and appreciated the beauty of a bygone era. 

Rick shared his knowledge and passion as a history and government teacher at Chippewa High School for many years. He also served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War as a signalman on the Puget Sound. Rick was a proud member of the American Legion in St. Petersburg, FL where he formed many friendships in the camaraderie of fellow veterans.

He is survived by his wife Cyndi, son Jasen (Angie) sisters Gayle & Debra, two granddaughters Taylor & Jordan, and his beloved little dog Hope. Rick is preceded in death by his parents Morden & Gloria Post.

In accordance with his wishes, a cremation has taken place and Rick will be buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Frederic, MI. No formal services will be held at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion post 14, 1520 4th Street North,  Saint Petersburg, FL 33704.
