Richard Joseph (Rick) Gwarek was born July 5, 1948, in Washington, D.C. to parents Etta and Edward. He passed from us on June 16, 2026. He spent his early school years traveling with his military family to various bases in the U.S. and Germany. He graduated from Northeast High School, St. Petersburg, FL in 1966.  He attended St. Petersburg Junior College before going into the commercial loan business and from there into automobile sales ending his career as automobile New Car manager at Maher Chevrolet. 

Rick had a friendly, outgoing personality and never met a stranger, asking their name and shaking their hand. He always had a joke ready for every occasion.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and his brother Edward. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lucinda, and his sisters Neva and Evelyn, daughter Stephani along with grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He will be greatly missed by his family and many others who came in contact with him.

We pray he rests in peace and God’s loving glory.
