On Monday, August 24th, 2020, Phao Chanthavone, devoted Buddhist and prominent member of the Lao community passed away just shy of 85 years old. Phao was born September 10th, 1935 in Thakhek, Laos to Jarnsone and Soth (Sayaphoumy). He joined Laos police force before becoming Captain and married Sathit (Sanphimachack). They raised a daughter, Phitsamone, in Savannakhet before raising their 3 grandchildren, Snithda, Fanta, and Vijitta in Florida. He was the life of the party, bringing his dice and mat to every occasion. Phao was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. He is survived by his daughter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, nieces, and nephew.
