Paula J. Trout Zopfi, age 76, of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away May 21, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in Tampa, Florida.  She was born to Thomas and Mary Miller Barrow on October 27, 1948, in Columbus, Ohio.  She graduated from Big Walnut High School class of 1966.

Paula pursued several professions during her amazing life, most recently as a real estate and title agent.  Paula’s many interests included travel, spending precious time with her beloved husband, family, including grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She lovingly cared for many pets and was especially fond of her little dogs and birds.  She was also a Corvette enthusiast, owning several throughout her lifetime.  Paula was full of life and developed many friendships in Ohio and Florida.  She was adventurous, always the life of the party, and with boundless energy.  Her warm and loving personality will be sorely missed by her friends and her family will always hold a very special place in their hearts for Paula’s immeasurable love and compassion.

Paula is survived by her husband of 18 years, Frederick John Zopfi (aka Big John); daughter Adrea Trout Allen of Lakeland, Florida; step children Derek Zopfi, Krysti Zopfi, and Cyra Zopfi Wright; grandchildren Ashley Allen, Robert (Robbie) Allen, Hayden Allen of Columbus, Ohio, and Dustyn Huntley of Raleigh, North Carolina; step grandchildren Adeli and Ryder Spelock, Evelyn and Zade Wright of Logan, Ohio; great-grandchildren Mylee Allen, Ahvianna Allen, and La’Vayuh Wright of Columbus, Ohio, Azriel Huntley of Raleigh, North Carolina; sisters JoAnn (Chris) Freiheit and Donna (Eric) Ritzenthaler of Delaware and Marysville, Ohio respectively; nieces and nephews Sarah Freiheit, Erik Freiheit, Leda (Zac) Anderson, Melanie Ritzenthaler, and Shannon Ritzenthaler.

The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, at Sorensen Funeral Home at 3180 30th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, Florida.
