Paul Galloway of St Petersburg, Fla., died on August 26, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Paul was born in Ansted, W.Va., to Irene Crist and William Galloway and grew up in Norton, Ohio. He graduated from Norton High School in 1959 and went to work for Babcock & Wilcox where he ultimately retired after more than 40 years as a technical designer. He and Ethel moved to St. Petersburg in 1966.
He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 65 years, Ethel, and his children, Ginger (Joey) and Jason (Maddie). He was also a proud GrandPaw to his grandpups.
Paul enjoyed “making sawdust” and was a talented carpenter who enjoyed solving challenging problems and tackling unique projects. He and Ethel were longtime members of Pasadena Presbyterian Church, and Paul spent many years as a leader of Boy Scout Troop 301, where he helped Jason and several of his friends earn the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout.
