Mary Anne Johnson Obituary

Mary Anne Johnson, “Mimi” 86 years old. Mimi was born in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania on December 3, 1937, spending some of her years there until establishing in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1958.

Mimi dedicated her work to the St. Petersburg Yacht club and met great friends along the way that lasted a lifetime.

Mimi spent her retired time playing bingo, taking her granddaughter to great explorations, ordering Avon, watching deal or no deal and always being an open arm for her children.
Mimi’s love for giraffes, iced coffee, York peppermint patties & pretty hair clips will always be cherished.

Mimi holds a special place in people’s hearts. For some this special place is as a mother with childhood memories, life experiences & growth together. For others this special place is as a Mimi being the shoulder to cry on, the vacation away from home & the wise life advice. For some this special place was a friend with laughs, humor and sarcasm.

Mary Anne is survived by her sister, Martha Cooley Oescher of Tennessee; her children, Barbara Marrs of New Jersey, Mary Marrs and David VanWinkle of St. Petersburg. Cherished Mimi to Samantha VanWinkle, Emily Anne Marrs-Picinic, and Robert Samuel Marrs Jr., her Nieces Julie Johnson of St Petersburg and Carrie Oescher of Tennessee, and their families.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rollin Johnson, and her son, Robert Samuel Marrs

Our family ask for thoughts in your prayers due to this devastating loss.
Never forget to live love and laugh.

Mimi I do love you more than that.
