Mary Alice Becker Ropolewski

MARY ALICE BECKER ROPOLEWSKI, 91 of St Petersburg, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at her home of 63 years. Mary was born on August 2, 1928 in Platteville, WI to Roy & Anne (Richter) Wickler. Mary was a homemaker and provided home daycare in the 1960’s & 70’s. She was very proud of taking precious care and showing love to over 60 children during those years, some of which are now some of St. Petersburg’s finest professionals. She enjoyed family camping trips, fishing and traveling throughout Georgia and North Carolina. Her most enjoyable times were “playing” in her yard with her plants and watching them blossom. Mary lived a very full life and gave love to all whom she touched.

Mary is survived by her loving children, Randy Becker and Suzanne Becker Guzman; five grandchildren, Robin, Meredith, Nicole, Christina and Ashley; as well as 5 great  granddaughters and her most beloved cat Emily. Mary was preceded in death by her husband and her children’s father, Gene Becker; Her second love, Joseph Ropolewski; her son, George Becker and her son, Barry Becker.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Sorensen Funeral Home, 3180 30th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL.
