Follansbee, Janice Anne at age 70 died in her home in St. Petersburg, Florida. She was born in Exeter, NH and had fond memories of her early childhood in Kingston, NH before moving to Haverhill, MA in 1963. After graduating Haverhill High School in 1971, Janice continued to develop her skills in credit reporting and collections in the family business, the Credit Bureau of Haverhill, Inc. Janice grew the collections’ department in the family business, while working along side her mother for decades, before eventually relocating to St. Petersburg, Florida. There, Janice finished her career as a collections specialist at CCS Medical. In addition to her success as a collection specialist, Janice had a “green thumb.” Florida sunshine allowed Janice to further her passion for gardening, by growing and displaying various plants around her property. Janice enjoyed trips to Vermont to spend time with her sister and family. During her vacations, she enjoyed road trips, birthday celebrations or graduations for her nieces and nephew. Janice’s last trip to Vermont was May of 2023 for her nephew’s college graduation. Shared meals, stories, an ice cream adventure, UVM tour, graduation celebration, and the precious sound of Janice’s joyful and hearty laugh are memories we hold dear to our hearts in addition to wonderful memories of years passed. When a loved one passes unexpectedly, we can hold tight to God, for He knows the loss and pain we feel. Janice was the daughter of the late Somerby C. Follansbee, Jr. and Geraldine (Cole) Follansbee and the sister of the late Martha Ruth Follansbee. She is survived by her brother Steven C. Follansbee of Gainesville, Florida and sister, Geraldine E. (Follansbee) Stewart, and her husband, Toby C. Stewart, of Essex Junction, Vermont and their children, Melissa F. Stewart, Benjamin D. Stewart and Heidi S. Stewart.
