Lampe, James (Jim)


71, of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away on April 18, 2025. He was born June 20, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert F. Lampe and Joan M. Lampe (White).  He is survived by brothers Stephen (Pat) of Sewickley, Pennsylvania; Paul of Tampa, Florida and Kenneth (Karen) of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; sisters Barbara (Tim) Kissell of Streetsboro, Ohio; Patricia (Matt) Romberger of Chanhassen, Minnesota and Ellen (Dave) Maxwell of Cincinnati, Ohio; twelve nieces and nephews and thirteen great- nieces and nephews. Although born in Cincinnati, Jim lived in Pittsburgh during his early adulthood before settling in St. Petersburg 25 years ago.


Jim attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic grade school in Library Pennsylvania as well as South Hills Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  Afterwards, he studied at the California State University of Pennsylvania and earned a BS in Environmental Science as well as a Master’s in Business Management from Eckerd College.


During his career, James worked in project management, regulatory compliance, data analysis, research and customer service. He was passionate about his work and his interests. In recent years, he was a volunteer organizer for the Republican party in Pinellas County and championed many causes he cared about.


Jim’s ashes will be interred at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery in a private service in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at a later date.
