Elizabeth Wincelowicz Obituary
Born in Wapakoneta, Ohio to Frank and Elizabeth Kohler on October 2, 1922 and moved to St Petersburg, FL in June of 1980. She was a Graduate of Mt. Carmel Nursing School in Columbus, Ohio and received her BSN from St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York .
In 1944 she joined the Army Nurse Corps and served with the 5th Surgical Group throughout the E.T.O. She obtained the rank of 1st Lieutenant and after V.E. Day served in South Korea until 1948.
Elizabeth married Charles Wincelowicz on May 10, 1948. They had 10 children, Vincent of Evergreen Colorado, Bill of Loganville Georgia, Patricia Tanzi and Micheal Wincelowicz of Staten Island New York, James Wincelowicz of Hampstead Maryland, Charles and Thomas Wincelowicz of St Petersburg Florida, and Susan Dobbs of St Petersburg Florida.
Husband Charles and sons Frank and Daniel preceded her in death. She is survived by 20 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Services will be at Blessed Sacrament Church in Staten Island, New York. Interment at St. Peters Cemetery, Staten Island, New York.
