Craig, Elbert M. Sr.
89 of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28th, 2020 with family by his side.
Elbert was a long standing member & volunteer at Wesley United Methodist Church where his friends often called him "Al". He was known for his kind generosity & contagious personality to so many through the years.
Elbert retired from the United States Navy serving in the Korean War and traveling the world. Upon his retirement he moved his family to St. Petersburg where he retired from Southern Culvert and then later, The St. Petersburg Times. With so much left to share he spent his morning's in the food pantry of his church serving his community, his afternoon's helping to teach the importance of family values to his grand and great grandchildren and enjoying all his days alongside Betty, the love of his life. He is survived by his wife Betty, son Elbert, Jr. (Butch) and his wife Rhonda, daughter Jenny Noble and husband Aaron. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren, and 26 Great-grandchildren who will deeply miss his stories & smiles. He is preceded in death by his 2 son's Wayne, wife Noreen and Michael, wife Debbie, parents Marvin and Edna and 5 siblings.
