Dee “Hai” Souvanna,
46, of Pinellas Park passed away at home on Tuesday, February 16, 2022. He is survived by his mother, Kongmany Kongkeosouvanna; his sister, Ning Chitarath, her husband, Thaivann; his brother, Bobby Kongkeosouvanna, and his wife, Sam; and his nephews and nieces, Jonathan, Donovan, Isabella, Ivan, Kaydis, Ketsana, and Kaos. Hai was born on February 27, 1975, in Savannakhet province, Laos. In 1980, his mom made the decision to leave her home in Laos in hopes of providing a better life for her children in the United States. They first lived in Costa Mesa, CA, York, Boston, and then in (1990), they moved to Florida. They fell in love with the area and made this their permanent home. Hai graduated from Pinellas Park in 1994. After graduating, he had worked as a sushi chef, roofer and an electrician and was excited about his future. But unfortunately, he was been involved in an accident that caused some long term health issues that caused him to leave the job he enjoyed so much. Along with his family, Hai had many friends that loved him. Everyone remembers him being happy all the time and despite what he may he going through, he always had a smile on his face. He never wanted anyone to worry about him and just wanted everyone else to be happy. Hai will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. There will be a visitation with a Buddhist service on Saturday February 26, 2022 at the funeral home from 12:00pm-3:00pm followed by cremation at 3:00pm.
