Deborah Kay "Debbie" Mills (Hopper), 70, passed away on June 28, 2024, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Born on April 6, 1954, at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, Debbie was a lifelong nurturer and dedicated nurse at Bayfront Health Medical Care Center.

Debbie graduated from St. Petersburg Senior High School before pursuing her passion for helping others at Tomlinson Nursing School. She furthered her education at Alderson Broaddus College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Debbie devoted her career to nursing, providing compassionate care and touching the lives of many.

A woman of deep faith, Debbie was a longtime member of the 30th Avenue Baptist Church. Her commitment to her faith and community was evident in both her professional and personal life. Debbie found joy in sewing, crafts, and painting, activities that reflected her meticulous and creative spirit.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Hopper Jr.; grandparents, Harold and Jennie Mitton, Leslie Sr. and Ana Olga Hopper; and Sister, Pamela Eccles. She is survived by her loving Husband, Dennis Mills, Mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Hopper; siblings, Roger Hopper, Norma Engle, and David Hopper; and many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 5, at 6:00 PM at the 30th Avenue Baptist Church, where Debbie was a cherished member.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the 30th Avenue Baptist Church in memory of Debbie, honoring her lifelong dedication to caring for others.
