On Sunday, March 1st, 2020 Dane Smith passed away at a young age of 64.
Dane was born on April 11th, 1955 in Circleville, Ohio to Richard and Betty Smith.
Dane married Mary Goodman on April 27th, 1979 they raised two sons, General and Harley and one daughter Mercedes.
Dane enjoyed the simple things in life, being surrounded by his friends and his family. He was an incredible cook who was known for his many tasty dishes.
Dane is survived by his wife Mary, his three children General, Harley, and Mercedes; his three grandchildren Dane, Emily, and Taylor; his mother Betty; his sister Saundra; two brothers Barry and Brent; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 14th, with family only. The family asked if you would like to send flowers to please consider sending donations instead to the Basenji Rescue and Transport or the American Heart Association in Dane Allen Smith's name.
There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at Kiwanis Park on 38th Avenue in St Petersburg, Florida on Sunday, March 15th from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for sharing of food and memories hosted by his daughter Mercedes for friends of the family.
