Chan Ros, 92, of St. Petersburg, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, surrounded by family. Chan was born on January 1, 1933, in Cambodia and immigrated to the United States in 1979. He had a fulfilling life marked by his deep faith and commitment to serving others and helping the local Cambodian community.
Though his life on Earth has ended, his generous spirit and legacy will forever carry on in the hearts of all those who loved him. He was the heart of our family. He lived with integrity and honesty and led by example, passing on values that will continue to shape the generations after him. He was reunited in Heaven with his wife Yoy, his son Pnouk, his parents, siblings, and granddaughter Nancy. A loving family survives him: his son Sarin and his wife Soknavy, daughter Naree and her husband Seng, daughter Sara, son Chak and his wife Rebecca, daughter Sarom and her husband Matt, and 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A Buddhist ceremony will be held at Sorensen Funeral Home on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm followed by cremation.
