Ba, we are honored that you are our father, our strength and inspiration in life.
Not only did you and Me raise 5 daughters through the hardship and adversity of war, you survived the atrocities of being a prisoner of war, and through all the pain and loss you had the strength to reinvent and reestablish yourself in a new country where the language and culture were foreign and daunting.
But you were accustomed to the challenge, being the maverick and leader as you were the Captain of Civil Engineering in the south vietnamese army, where you proudly served your country for freedom and democracy from the tyranny of communism. You lead your troops to strategize, design, implement, maintain and fabricate structures, such as bridges, towers, and buildings.
As you transitioned to the new world in America you realized you had to take destiny into your own hands. Working as a laborer you wanted to change your station in life, so you pursued higher education. With perseverance and unending devotion you graduated from college with a degree in chemistry, and started your life long work as laboratory researcher and developer. Ba, not only did you give back to the world with your inventions, creating one of a kind industry adhesive that was later patented by Loctite, Patent US7323222B2 for industrial use, you devoted your life to charity, helping the poor and needy.
Ba, Thank you for being our dad, forever you will live in our hearts and you will transcend the passage of time through your wife, your daughters, your grandchildren, your friends, and your family.Your memories will ripple throughout our lifetime and more.
