Bruce Frank Walsh, age 82 of St. Petersburg, Florida, born in Schenectady, NY on 10/05/1942 passed away on October 11, 2024.  He is survived by his wife of 18 years Carol Varnadoe Walsh; his only daughter Tammie L. Walsh and preceded by his late wife Diana Sue Walsh of 42 years; brother and sister-in-law George Walsh and Karen Walsh; niece Kerry (Bob); nephew Eric (Brittannie) and their children; cousins Sissy Gore and Grant & Sandy Ward and their children; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bruce and Alice Varnadoe; niece Cindy (Bill) and nephew Kevin (Carrie) and their children.

He proudly served his country from 1960 to 1968. He received the Airforce Commendatory Medal for meritorious service in Vietnam as the Crew Chief for the 47th Tactical Fighter Squadron. He was honorably discharged from MacDill Airforce Base.  

He was a jack of all trades, he could fix anything. He retired as a Superintendent with Nu Air Windows & Doors in 2007. He loved music and was a great supporter of the local Tampa Bay music scene. He loved to be near the water and his 3 favorite places to go were Jimmy B’s St Pete Beach, Paisano’s Pizza and Pasta Restaurant and the Legion Post 138. He was a devoted father and spent more than half of his life dedicated to coaching his daughter Tammie’s fast pitch softball teams while also umpiring at Meadowlawn Little League. He had a deep love for animals. He was a diehard Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan and never missed a game. He was the life of the party with his quick wit and humor, there was no one who ever met him that did not love him immediately. 

This world has truly lost someone very special; he touched so many lives with his kindness and huge heart, continuously lending a helping hand any way that he could to make someone else’s life a little better. There will be a memorial gathering at the funeral home on Friday, November 8th from 10:00am-11:00am. The memorial service will start at 11:00am followed by a celebration of life in the reception area.
