Barbara J. Winters, U.S. Army Veteran, 85 years old, passed away peacefully, on Veterans Day, November 11, 2024.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene L. Winters, Jr. (Columbus, Oh), and her longtime companion, Henry Wendell (Morehead City, NC).  She is survived by 4 siblings, 3 Children: Keith Lelux, Wendy (Jeff) Prater, Randy (Diana) Winters, and 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.  She was very active, enjoying bowling, bingo, and her life’s passion as an Avon Representative.  

Sorensen’s Funeral Home of St. Petersburg, FL handled her cremation.  Graveside Service will be held at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43202 on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00am.  The Reverend Richard Lelux will officiate. Donations in Lieu of flowers and gifts can be sent in her honor to Suncoast Hospice Foundation, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.
