Barbara L. Puleio (70) of St. Petersburg passed away peacefully in her home on Sept. 9th, 2021 surrounded by family. She fought so hard over the past three and a half years to get more time with her loved ones, and that she did! We will always admire her positive attitude, courageous mentality, determination, honesty and warmth. Nicholas (husband) has been quoted as saying, “she was one hell of a homemaker”, and I think all would agree. She was the type of mother who was thrilled to make whatever you wanted for dinner, lend advice, and make all moments special. Barbara also found tremendous delight in caring for her grandchildren. She had a large collection of stories, rhymes, and songs that always amused the little ones. Super nanny will certainly be missed! All that knew and loved her admired that she did things her own way! She enjoyed the wide spectrum of music from classical to hip hop, and wore plaid preppy clothes while cheering on NASCAR drivers. She certainly made life fun. We would like to thank all of the excellent doctors and nurses who helped care for her along the way, especially Mark Eichenbuam, Stephanie Carmack, Kirk Jobe, and Peter Forsyth. As a family we truly believe in finding a cure for Glioblastoma. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara’s honor to The Glioblastoma Foundation at glioblastomafoundation.org.
Grieve not,
Nor speak of me with tears, But laugh
And talk of me
As if I were beside you.
I loved you so
‘twas heaven here with you.
