Antoinette Carr Obituary

Antoinette Carr (86) of Toms River, NJ and Pinellas Park, FL was peacefully called home to the Lord on January 15, 2020 surrounded by her loving family.  Antoinette (Anna, Anne) was born in Brooklyn NY and grew up in Ridgefield Park, NJ.  Antoinette was the 3rd of 9 children and the loving mother of 5.  Antoinette is predeceased by her husband George, her parents Rogier & Sophie Bassant, Siblings Marie Wright, John Bassant, Bertha Bassant, Meta Cagle and her Grandchild Jason Anthony Rosanio and Great Grandchild Lucas Stefanou, Olivia Carr.  Antoinette is survived by her loving children, George Carr, Cheri & Stylianos Stefanou, Diane (Venus) Carr, Jo-Ann Rosanio, Jay & Roe Carr. Her Grandchildren, Billy, Shannon, George, Yorgo, Joseph, Vicki, Jason, Giuliana, Francesca, Great Grandchildren Perrin, Gabriella, Ella, George, Aubrey, Elijah. Siblings, Eleanore Patire, Bill Bassant, Alida Kaufmann, Roger Bassant.

Antoinette was an amazing cook and remembered for many delicious meals that were shared with all.  She was a huge sports fan. She loved tennis and to watch and root for her teams.  NY Giants, NJ Devils, NY Yankees, (but her heart was truly for the Brooklyn Dodgers).  She loved to listen to music and dance. She was full of life and loved to be active, spending time with family and friends, walking, playing cards, having a good meal, or just talking over coffee.

There will be a visitation on Monday, January 20th 5:00pm-8:00pm at Sorensen Funeral Home, 3180 30th Ave N. St. Petersburg.  A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 4661 82nd Ave N, Pinellas Park.
