Johnson, Rachel A. 73, passed away February 25, 2019. The daughter of Raleigh Lee and Vellar Johnson graduated from Seminole High school in 1963. She is survived by her brother Luther sister Nellie; daughters Robin and Annette; grandchildren Taylor, Ashlee and Brock and her companion of over 30 years Frank. As the senior secretary at FAMU college of pharmacy for the last 7 years she was highly respected and enjoyed working and socializing with both students and fellow employees. Before moving to Defuniak Springs Rachel lived and worked in Pinellas County as a Publix cashier, quality control inspector and real estate agent. She enjoyed being in nature and had a special gift for gardening and cooking. Her love of flowers (especially roses and gardens) shows in the hundreds of photos she took throughout her life. She also loved to travel whenever possible and always encouraged us to get out and see the world for ourselves.
A loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, friend and co worker with just enough attitude to be fun. Rachel impacted the lives of many as she was always ready to lend a helping hand and give of herself so that she could make us all better people. She’ll be forever in our hearts. A hard working strong woman of faith with the warmest of hearts and a feisty personality Rachel was loved by many and will be missed dearly by her family and friends. There will be a memorial service March 9th 5:00pm at Grace Christian 901 Ridge Rd SW Largo Fl 33770.
