Patterson, William David “Bill”, 69, 0f St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016. He was born in Niagra Falls, New York on September 10, 1947, and grew up on the Tuscarora Reservation.
Bill worked as an iron worker for twenty plus years. In his youth He was a golden glove boxer, a drag racer and loved shooting pool. He enjoyed watching football, especially his Buffalo Bills. Bill was a family man who valued his time in retirement taking care of his grandchildren.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Patricia Patterson; his sons, Anthony Paterson (Sue) of New York, William Patterson (Felicia) and Matthew Patterson; his daughters, Tiffany Patterson (Mark) and Melisa Patterson; nine grandchildren; one sister, Linda Mt. Pleasant, of New York. He was preceded in death by his father, David Patterson, Tuscarora Chief of the Wolf Clan; his mother, Juanita L. Williams and his sisters, Reva Printup and Diana Billings.
His family will miss his laughter and his love for life. We know he lived to the fullest, with no regrets. #freebird. A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at a later date.
