Ruth Bjork Sieling

Ruth Bjork Sieling, age 94, died peacefully at home on November 4, 2018.  Born in Chicago, Ruth moved to St. Petersburg with her family in 1955.  She was very active in community and civic activities as a member of St. Petersburg Garden Club and former President of the Swedish Club. She volunteered at the Dali Museum for decades. She also volunteered for many years at the Cancer Society transporting patients for treatment. She was preceded in death by Edward Sieling in 2016, her husband of 70 years.  She is survived by her son, Jack Sieling, and daughters Susan Rivers and Barbara Sieling.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Lynne and her husband Gary Crockenburg, Jason Sieling and great-grandson Cole Hunter. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10th, at 10:30 am at Sorenson Funeral Home, 3180 30th Ave., North, St. Petersburg, FL. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to the Sierra Club Florida Regional Office, 1990 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg, Florida 33712.
