Cleo “Zane” Buntyn

Cleo Z Buntyn, “Zane” 91, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Tampa, died Monday, November 5th, 2018 at St. Anthony’s Hospital. She was born in Tampa, FL and worked for the Tampa Tribune. She lived 3 years of her life in Bremerton, Washington, where she worked for the Seattle post-Intelligencer. She then worked in St. Petersburg for Century 21, and SS office. She was a baptist, local historian, and loved talking about history. She was the widow of Price William Buntyn, “Pete.” Survivors include two daughters; Dr. Bonnie Sanchez, Rebecca L. Buntyn-Todd, one son, Peter P. Buntyn, from St. Petersburg, FL, two stepsons; Price William III from Cody, WY, Arthur Byron from Zephyrhills, FL and 15 grandchildren. Visitation will be held in Sorensen Chapel on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Burial to follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 1:00pm.

    I have fond memories of visiting your home as a child. Your mother was a very interesting, and energetic lady.. She came to visit my grandmother, her Aunt Myrtle often.
    I remember they always talked about the Bible.. My family just this Thanksgiving, were reminiscing and we’re talking about her and Mary Catherine wondering how she was. . Our sincere sympathy goes out to you and the family.

    Rest in Paradise Grandma Zane I was very blessed to have married chearles. It was even more of a blessing that you witnessed are wedding. You will forever be missed. Your great grandchildren will forever have a part of you as they are named after you. Charles and your Meme will always cherish the memories we had with you
